Hello from the 18th floor of the Palmer House Hilton in CHICAGO!! It was a mostly uneventful trip, except for a rather quick stroll from one end of the Detroit airport to the other. But, I made it in plenty of time! There were three other band directors from Maine on my flight (including Barry Saunders for those who went to camp and know him). Once I got to the hotel and checked in I met up with a few other friends and we grabbed some dinner. Now it's time to call it a day and get rested up for all kinds of fun and learning tomorrow!

And here's a view of the lobby of the hotel.... not bad, eh?!
Tomorrow will be a busy day where I will check into the conference registration and then go to a few sessions. I'm hoping to visit the vendor area tomorrow, too! I'm hoping to meet up with colleagues from Cape Elizabeth, South Portland and Brunswick. And, Dr. Blanco is here, too! Tomorrow night I get to see the President's Own Marine Band!! But first... sleep!
Have a great Wednesday, everyone! Work hard and be good to each other!
